Mr. Jovan Nikolić lived in the US in 1992, when the country was hit by a devastating hurricane Andrew that destroyed a large number of houses. After surviving the hurricane, Mr. Nikolić came up with an idea that will later develop into the Q system – an exceptionally reliable, high-quality and fast method of construction.
From 2002 to 2009, Mr. Nikolić was deeply involved in research and development of technology only to patent the Q system of construction in 2009.
In 2010, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce recognized the advantages of the Q system and proposed the system to be nominated for Lafarge Invention Awards 2010. Among 1,200 entries from Europe, Russia and the Middle East, the company won the Lafarge award for the best and the most innovative construction technology.

In 2012, the Q system launches test production.
In 2013, the very first house was built based on the Q system and the project involving the Quattro factory building in Golubinci kicked off.

Lafarge Invention Awards 2010
The Q system, developed by Mr. Jovan Nikolić and his team, was crowned the best construction technology by experts from Lafarge Institute and the international commission.

The award for outstanding contribution to the local and economic development of the Municipality of Stara Pazova and improvement of the standard of living of citizens was presented to the Quattro Houses Company.
